Default Sensei Skillet vs Idiot Oneida

Figured this place needed some action, kind of like Gun Lake, as both have been a bit slow.

So for the third time I had the new boat on a small lake. When I mean small, I mean Gun Lake, everything else, has been Lake Erie, Saginaw Bay, Detroit River, Lake Michigan.

I found I was lacking allot in the proficiency of Lowrance for my style of fishing, and lack of knowledge of some of the things I was trying to do. If I had a Bird, I would have been able to do those things pretty quickly.

The list of laughter/issues, Creating a route, Creating a way-point form sidimaging, going to a way-point via Lowrance, mapping, OH yeah, Mapping transparancy.

We had a whole list of things to work on, (Actually ME)

Creating a way-point from side imaging: always use the Way-point button, regardless of method of screen location of the cursor.
Quote from Sensei Skillet: You hard headed dumb Ash, How many time I have to tell you use the WAY-POINT BUTTON.

Creating a Route: Still needs research as there are indeed 2 methods. 1 Stored within the head of the Motorguide, and 2 via the graph, they are two SEPARATE methods.
Quote from Sensei Skillet: You hosed up your graph, you need to press less buttons, its not even working now.

Lowarance Mapping: I had the live Sonar mapping transparency set to HIGH. Translation, I was imposing what was actually on the bottom as far as contour lines go vs what was on the map. As I would go over an area I would see actual vs what was originally on the map, so saddles, and small underwater coves, etc were different, from what we saw, depending on what graph we looked at. For sake of communication, I should probably turn that off, so we both see the same thing from the same graphs.
Quote form Sensei Skillet: You sure you know what your doing?

After thoughts, Going to need to run NEEMA network cable to front gragh, so the screen from the back to the front are easier to use.
Small lakes, try and set the trolling motor as deep as the transducer on the back, to allow same water depth reading as close as possible.

Idiot Oneida Quote: Hey I got us back in 20 foot of water!
Sensei Skiilet Quote: Im 20 foot away, and am in 10 foot.

What was supposed to be a productive day of catching crappie ended up of catching a Warmouth, and nothing more. Water temp was either 85.2, or 82.5 either way, it was bath water.
It was good to get out of the house, and as excited as I was to go, it was more education of the Motorguide features and such,m as well as some what I would call advanced features of the Lowrance I was trying to accomplish.

Sorry for not catching any fish Sensei..........

    But you did laugh.
