    Default Muddy waters.

Spent the day fishing lancer in Sugar Springs.
4 hours of fishing and have caught a few nice bass, rockbass, bluegill and almost a pike.
The water is clarity is rough due to the heavy rains.
Water temperature is 67. Fished the back coves and inlets looking for spawning crappie, but no dice. Heading out to try a few more places and some drop offs, but I think the boat traffic and dirty water will increase the difficulty finding them.
    Back out tonight.

    Any tips?

I would check the outside edge of weeds, especially cabbage, where there is a drop off to some deeper water. Try slow trolling a jig and plastic right on that edge as close to the weeds as you can get. If you're not getting hung up once in a while you're not close enough.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

I appreciate the advice Jerry. Despite it, Tyler and I had a rough go of finding crappie. Bluegill and pumpkin seeds were in abundance and managed another bass and a pike.
Have to spend another day searching and pitching jigs.
All of them went in the fryer despite not being the target species.
I know they are in here and we will have other days to try for em.

That is a cool looking lake. Keep working at it. Figuring it out is half the fun. Keep us posted!

I will be. It is close to my brothers, girlfriends cottage.
It is super nice and they make sure that the lake stays as natural as possible, despite its man made beginnings.
