Monday night the dash lit up like a Christmas Tree, Service Stabilitrack, check engine, and ran like ash, at low speed and idle.

Plugs & wires no change. Thought maybe plugged cat converter, nope.

I bought that truck as an experiment, to see if I liked the “Crew Cabs”. Had plans to get one with options I wanted, but ended up keeping it for various reasons.

Thursday we Found out the #4 Cylinder was Gone.

I had 210,000 miles on it, and some of them Were not gentle either & when I say not gentle, we’re taking towing over the max, Becky in the back type brutality.

So the search started & i found this one with a Towing package. Well what exactly is a towing package?

I can tell you what it’s not, most “Towing Packages”’ seem to be nothing more then a Reese type receiver per most listing online.

RPO codes are my friends, and this one has an Auxiliary Oil Cooler, Auxiliary Trans cooler as well.

Built in Electric brakes, and a Z85 towing package.

What’s that? Well it’s like a Z71, only shocks are positioned a bit different for better TOWING.

    Also have locking rear differential.

Crew Cab, wife likes the running boards as it’s easier for her to get in and out.

Should tow new boat real well.

Now I just need to get them both ready

Can't wait to go for a ride. In the new truck and the new boat. Come on Detroit River walleye run.

I’ll have to think about that, first off it would require you to bathe, and use soap, shampoo & a generous amount of conditioner.

Don’t feel bad, if Steve’s going, he’s required to wear a ball gag. At least until you and I get our insults in before we let him talk.

I’d put a little laughing dude here but not sure how to on a phone reply.

Spent the day in the heated garage, have my Down Rigger Wiring complete, and then thought I was going to knock it out of the ball park, and get my antenna installed, and radio.

    NOPE,

Where I wanted it, I need a spacer, however the issue is that the antenna mount itself would rub/wear on the travel cover. Found a location on the TraxTech Tracks, but would need a custom bracket made.

Then I found a location in front that would work, I would mount it to an accessory bracket, but I would have to remove and attach the antenna when ever I wanted to use it to the mount. I do not have a standard antenna mount, I bought a quick detach, and can actually remove the antenna by screwing it off, or on to install, or remove.

Skillet was over looking at is as well. He sat in the boat, pretended he was fishing allot. So the whole ting was tabled, and put on hold while I weight the pros and cons or attaching and detaching every time I want to use the radio, or work on a custom bracket.

I know some people, but at this point, its a think on it for a bit.

To top it off, my daughters were ARGUING about the laundry. Who gets the laundry first.

Could have sworn i told/advised BOTH to start early to avoid this scenario, and of course, I got involved, the wife was involved, and now they all are not happy with me.

Guess its that kind of day, Im the bad guy, but at least I have my DownRigger wiring done.........

Bring on the Salmon. & Warm weather agian.

Tonight we ( John, Wanda, Judy and myself) are going to meet up and hopefully finalize this years crappie camp.

I think I had the worlds fastest employee/non employee turn around ever. Hired Wednesday, going to start work Monday at 9:00 was the agreement. Employee (or so I thought) calls me at 8:54 Monday morning, 6 minutes before agreed on start time, to say he doesn’t think he wants to work.
