Default Cut a few holes between weather

Yesterday the weather was a mess.. Rain, ice and snow with a warm snap.. tomorrow the cold and possibly snow return. Today mid 20's and flurries..good day to hit the hard water..headed out with Jerry to Holland lake...found good ice this week as it had open water last week. Worked the drop off in 15-20 ft of water...both of us were able to take home a supper of gills..no monsters but good eaters. Jerry added a couple perch to his bag. I stuck 3 hammer handles and Jerry stuck three bass to add to the fun. Name: IMG_20190124_163702797_HDR.jpeg

Always wanted to try ice fishing. But I hope it never gets that cold in Mississippi. Great catch.

Cool. I think plans are for a few of us to hit one of my honey holes this weekend. Not sure which one yet, but I need some cold water gills myself.

Good to see someone getting out fishing. Looks like the upcoming weekend would be a good time to go, mid teens....making more ice!

Not a bad day out there. I cleaned 7 gills and the two perch, just right for tonights dinner.

Funny thing was that I caught a ton of dink perch and just a few throw back gills and Jeff caught a ton of dink gills and just one small perch. At times we were fishing within 10' of each other.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
