My son has been trying to get me one for a couple years, they have had to cut a couple 3 sink units apart and scrap them out......when he got called out to do this job he knew exactly where he was going with it. Right in the back of his service truck and then here.

Taking out the trash this morning I seen a nasty sweatshirt on the edge of my driveway and did the respectable thing and put it in the trash. Since it was trash day, how convenient!

I could think of 20 different things to do with it. None of which would have been appropriate for this forum.
For the record, I'm not really a fan of any sports team anymore.

    ???

Daughter was crying last night because she didn’t understand “Extended Equations”

Made a phone call, taught myself quickly, then helped my daughter.

But honestly, unless your a math geek, I have NEVER used anything like this in my real life.

    The answer is (A)
    3n+3

For an equation like this, the simpiest way to teach a kid is to give them a value for N and then follow the rules of math.
    If N=4

The equation would look like this:
    7x4 - (4x4 -3)

Everything in () is done first. Multiplication before addition or subtraction. So... 4x4=16. Subtract 3 = 13
    Now, 7x4=28. 28-13=15 REMEMBER 15

NOW look at all of the answers they gave you to select from. Use 4 for N
    A) 12+3=15
    B) 12-3=9
    C) 44+3=47
    D) 44-3=41

Which one had the answer of 15? A
That is the simplest way to teach someone how to do math and take a test when they give you 4 options and 1 of them is the answer!
Of course I could also show you the correct long form way to do it... but why?

FYI: I used to tutor math. Although I could show a kid 5 different ways to do a math problem, I also selected the one that was the easiest for them!
