Some days I'm not sure if Jerry is a carpenter or a chef!

    This week I'm a Grampy..........and a chef.

This morning I was doing dishes and Isla wanted to "help". I pulled my Cabelas cooler up to the sink and she assisted with the dishes. By the time we were done, we both had taken a bath and the floor was mopped. Plus we got the dishes done. I can't wait until she comes to our spring camp and can be "Vanna" for us.

All he needs is a Trans Am to pull out the PoPo from hiding, and a semi, and he could be Smokey & the Bandit.

Ribs tonight were AWESOME! Marinated 18 hours in Caribbean Jerk then coated with Famous Daves Rib Rub, Smoked about 3 hours at 225 using charcoal and hickory. Wrapped TIGHT in foil and into the oven for 2 hours at 300. One rack I glazed with Trader Joes BBQ sauce and put back in the oven long enough to make the sauce thick and sticky but not burnt. The other rack was served with no sauce. Baked beans and a quart of my home made apple sauce topped it off. Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for a nap.

Sounded like it was a CDC outing on the Bay today. Steve and Possum, cousin Kev, Aaron and Ralph, dad, Brian, and I.

We should have planned something. Remind me to tell you of the crap show at Patterson when we returned!

I was very pleased that all the new upgrades to the boat worked perfectly.
Got to see Cousin Kevin for a little bit as we were busy with a double or maybe it was a triple.

I had Chris, Scott and Pat in my boat and it didn’t feel crowded.

We had no launch lunacy at Linwood putting in or out, very relaxing day on the water.....this wasn’t planned that so many of us from CDC were there, but like Rich said......we should plan something.

I once again netted a Master Angler....

I do! I've seen/heard it time and time again.

In the old days, most would set a gps waypoint inside of the pier heads. They would then run to it at night. Back then there wasn't any map software on the gps. Just Lat/lan lines and waypoints.

Today they can see the channel and, instead of following it it, they cut in somewhere in the middle and end up on the breakwall.

Dad and I were just in from fishing one night. We decided to stay in the boat so we pulled it on the trailer and were getting ready to sleep in it in the parking lot. We hear this loud crash. Two minutes later, sheriff department marine patrol comes racing in, backs down, leaves trailer in the water, truck on the ramp, and is gone. USCG pulled both their rescue boats out. The next morning there was a 26 footer high and dry on the south breakwall. They hit it over 30mph. The next weekend, the same thing on the north breakwall. Killed one guy, seriously wounded a women, sent another through the front windshield. We had a total of 6 in Ludington that year.
