Unfortunately it has been happening a lot lately. Almost to the point of being worried that something might be wrong. I said "almost".

I used to be able to tell you where everything was at, if I owned it, what it was, etc... Now I cannot find the simplest of things at times. Or I forget that I have it at all. On the flip side, it is fun to find something and say "I didn't know I had that". Most of the time however, I'm left with "I know I have that, where is it"? In the end I go and buy another one (or three). I don't have an issue with losing track of a 10 dollar item. I do however have a slight bit of heartburn losing track of a 150 dollar item!

    Rich,

You are not alone, I do not think that we are forgetful, just that we have to much stuff. I mostly have ONE of each thing I need. Despite my be prepared for everything, and redundancy, for back up. I still mostly have only ONE.

It is easier to keep track of that "One" that 5 of them.

The only thing I can think of besides, tools & some select fishing gear, (I might have more then a few 1/2 inch wrench's) is a Generator. At one point this year, there were 5. I am down to two.

The sheer amount of stuff to keep track of can be daunting. So I limit those numbers.

To prove you are not alone, do this.

Call Skillet or R2F, ask them to name all the colors of flickers & bandits that they have? Between the two of them, they could probably hook them altogether on US 131, and span the entire North/South line of Kent County. However they could not name them all by color, without looking at the box's.

They know they have them, but they don't know all of them. I know mine, I have 24 of them to be exact.

So in my book, your fine, you just have to much stuff. Have a C.C yard/garage/Pole Barn Sale, get some extra cash.

We can drive over, assist in the removal of all that extra stuff. And you wont have to try and find/remember what you do/don't have.

Who do you think got them started on the crank bait buying craze? I was going to take a photo once of all the cranks that I have and then decided it would be a bad idea in the event that it would be used later as evidence.

I'm down in Atlanta right now. Came down for Isla's baptism which is this Saturday. I babysat her today and we spent a lot of time swinging and sliding and playing in the dirt. We both had a good sweat going.

Making beef tips in gravy tonight for dinner, baby backs tomorrow, fish fry Friday and grilled, marinated boneless chicken thighs Saturday.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
