The stocking data for this lake should make it a winner. The amount of crappies we marked suspended in schools warrants an additional look. The issue however is the extreme amount of churned up and chopped up vegetation. It will be revisited in the fall. For now, the jet ski's, pontoon boats, and everything else can have it!

I can say the pike are healthy. I guess we know where the million plus walleye fingers went. 6 pike and two bass for us.

No fish story but we are in lower Oregan visiting Darlene's son and family ,nice part of the country but I can't wait to get back to my boat.

I'm headed up to Irons on Saturday to look at a cottage my nephew might be buying on Loon Lake. My home inspection fee is use of the cottage whenever I want. Good base camp for Hamlin, Big Bass, Tippy or the PM River.

I might take a detour before heading to Houghton lake. By way of Saginaw.

Steve, in case dad didn't tell you, we moved our camp site. Long story but we have a much better site now. Just moved it down three spots to the end of the lane directly across from the bathroom. In fact, I beleive it is directly across from where you camped last year. If all goes well, I should be up there Friday afternoon. I also cut a bunch of slab wood that dad wanted for the fire pit.

I suspect that fishing has been off the last few days due to the pressure systems that keep moving through. By late week, it should be back to stable and the fish should start going again. FYI: Don't take 96 West. I've heard it is a PITA around Portland.

The looked of jealousy from them, and that fact that they wanted to touch her, and see if she was REAL, was more than most teenage boys can handle.
