Slight warm up mid week then back to this bitter cold next week end. Ice fishing is here.

Decisions, decisions. Do I brave the -27 wind chill and go try to work or do I throw another log on the fire and wait until tomorrow?

In other news, I've been hearing rumors that they are fishing on Morrison Lake. Probably a little early for me but with the temps we have, maybe next week.

I have -14 right now without the wind. I heard the same about Morrison.

Bout time for me to start checking some local lakes around here.

Rich, I almost asked about the lakes in your area in my post. I heard they're on Hewes but haven't heard anything else. I will probably hit Holland end of the week or over the week end. Bluegill fillets fresh out of freezing cold water sounds awesome!

Lake st Clair had some ice good enough to walk on, in the canals. About 3 to 4 inches. Maybe about the same in bouvier bay with a lot of shore ice in the rest of the lake.. A lot of shanties out in bouvier bay too. No one was moving at all with the wind.

If we head towards St. Clair to fish, do you want to guide us to a good spot?

I don't know too many good spots at the moment. Few reports of fish yet. I can find some good rockbass in the canals and I know where there are some perch running right now.
Either way, I'd be happy to tag along to find some fish with yah.
