Thanks Jerry. I have actually owned three different Senco Duraspin guns. I had the really long one with the extension handle and strips. It worked good. I sold it when I realized that I no longer wanted to own tools that all I was going to do was loan out. I had a deck and wasn't going to build another one for someone no matter what they were willing to pay! I also owned two of the short ones. I still don't know where those went. Probably loaned them out and never got them back.
Dad had the framework done by the time I got back from fishing that morning. I think Steve even came by to inspect it. I believe he actually wanted something to do (he was bored) so building a deck seemed fun (at the time). The sub frame is built in two pieces each one is 7x8 for a total of 14 x 8. The two frames are screwed together and then you start from that union with 5/4 and work your way out both sides. This way, if it ever needs to be moved (IE, we move to another spot) we can pull that one deck board, unscrew the union and move it in two sections with the forks. I believe he already has the thing done (had it done yesterday).
I was all for the carpet. Heck, I even wanted to indoor/outdoor carpet the whole lot. Even put in some putting holes just so it doesn't need to be mowed. Dad on the other hand now has lights that run up and down the awning, some solar lights, and various other crap. He even wanted to bring a push mower up despite the fact that there is no place to store it and we have free use of the one at the park. He mowes the neighbors, the lot next to that... just for something to do. On the flip side, Brian and I am sure glad we did it. They use the place all the time!
Sure do
I think it would make a great prize

Now that was funny. Could have also thrown Billbob in there too. Me on the other hand, I couldn't win if I was the only one entered!
Steve, that is the perfect gift along with Tiki torches. They know everyone now. Only thing missing is a golf cart. Me on the other hand, I could go 100 times and would only be known as the guy always at the fish cleaning station.
I would have loved to see the look on someone's face when they looked in the trash bin and saw that walleye carcass. My bet is a story is going around about a giant caught in Houghton Lake.
if I recall , you and Jeff kicked mine and everyone else's butts at the last Houghton lake camp :cheers2
Steve and I have been discussing a few changes/additions for next years friendly tournament event that should make things a bit more exiting for everyone with more chances at a prize.
I will let Steve post once we get details ironed out.
yep, I DO have one of those griddles and absolutely LOVE it. :biggrin
Annoyance of the day:
A few days back I attempt to spray "7" on my garden to get rid of the aphid bugs that are trying to destroy my broccoli leaves, eating my climbing beans, and the japanese beetles that think they are going to eat my pickle plants that are currently loaded. I noticed that my sprayer nozzle was broke. O.K, I knew it was broken but never really cared as I use my 40 gallon 3pt tractor sprayer most of the time. No big deal, I run out to the barn and grab my backpack sprayer. Nope, that one too has a broken sprayer....
I head to the store yesterday in an attempt to find a sprayer handle and nozzle for my handheld (I'll deal with the backpack sprayer later). Like with most things in this world, it is almost cheaper to purchase a new sprayer than it is to buy a wand for one. In fact, they don't even market them with the sprayers. I looked high and low in the handheld section and was tempted with doing what the rest of America does: Throw my old one away, spend 20 bucks to purchase an onsale item, and be fine. It was the principle of the thing though... I gladly would have paid 25 bucks for replacement parts at this time just to prove a point.
I went to the agricultural section where I buy the big parts for my tractor sprayer and boom... What would be considered a cheap wand for my ag sprayer turns out to be perfect for my backpack or handheld. It had a barbed end and would fit inside the tube. 9 bucks. Half the price of a new one.
In a throw away society, most people wouldn't bat an eyelash at buying a new sprayer. I did not see the point. My old one works just fine. I don't need a new and improved model that is probably half as good as my old one.
I did manage to get some pickles canned last night and get the garden sprayed for bugs. Next time however I think I will hook up the 3pt sprayer and cover the garden in 20 seconds vice walking around and pumping for 15 minutes!!!!
I'm planning on being there. I will have my "crappie" boat with me. So go ahead and order one of those griddles. I'll wait to get one. lol
