Well at least I was replaced by someone that is attractive.......

I'm willing to wager that after awhile you will arrive at my door step asking to be punished for a day of adventurers and fishing......

    The story goes like this:

Sometime last year, Abby felt the need to have a dog to call her own. Our dog (Peetie) is a 15 1/2 year old Jack russell. I told her that it was not a good time BUT, we could start looking in April with a pickup date of around the middle of May. This would give her enough time to crate train before school is out in June and then all summer to train. True to my word, we started looking in April. She didn't want a small dog and had settled on a couple of different breeds. To say I am partial to the English lab is an understatement so I did my best to pursuede in that direction. I was able to find a litter that would be ready in mid May and they went down to look about 1 month ago (around Teledo). A few days later, Steve was over at the house and we were talking about dogs. He said someone local had a few litters but they didn't have any yellow labs but thought they would have a litter in the summer. He said that him and Judy would probably be ready for another dog around that time.

Fast forward a week or two and I get a text message asking for the phone number to the breeder we had chosen. Within minutes I had a message back saying they had purchased "Emma" the dog you see Steve with. They (Steve, Judy, and Judy's mom) were just leaving yesterday when Abby and Mary stopped to pickup Emma's brother Charlie! He has a big head and big feet, just like and English Lab should. If you are unfamiliar, look up the difference between an English Lab and an American Lab and you will notice the difference. At any rate, both of us are on puppy duties. We elected the crate route last night and it actually wasn't too bad. The little guy is doing well (he ain't little) and Peetie is doing good. At first she thought "cool, someone come to visit and play" and then about 8pm she realized "hey, I think he is here to stay"!

She seems to like hiding around this bush and digging in the mulch, I got a feeling Judy is gonna have a time keeping her out of the flowers this year Jaw Jackin Jeff's Overall Nonsense Thread 2019

Charlie has a fascination with dandilions. And sticks, and twigs, and leaves, and grass. Pretty much anything that is on the floor or ground and is not supposed to be put in ones mouth!

At least you got her to sit still long enough for a photo.

I finally put the old boat, the Sylvan, in the water to check for leaks after rebuilding the keel and replacing a couple of rivets. Bone dry! Let the fishing begin!

Steve Jr and I took Ava over to Morrison for her birthday yesterday. She wanted to go fishing but we didn’t have a lot of time as Jr. needed to be off the water by 10 to get things ready for her birthday party.
    YouTube video forthcoming.
