Thanks for posting that Rich, which brings me to a point about why I like this forum.
You don't see any negative remarks when someone posts things like that on this forum, unlike that other forum.....I see we have a heckler. Now I remember why I go there very little. Like I tell my niece and nephew.....don't like what I put on my FB page?.....keep scrolling!

Today is a day I knew was coming, I need to take my faithful dog on his last journey. It's hard being a pet owner at this point in their lives. Hunter (Wilbur) just can't control his bowels and can barely stand up. I need to help him up the stairs, his mind says he can, but the old worn out body just can't. I should have done this earlier but I just couldn't being the holidays were here.

I take comfort that we gave him a very comfortable place to live and loved him every day.....he had a good life. Jerry offered to do this task for me, but it is my responsibiity to be by Wilburs side to the end as a pet owner.

I don't mean to be a downer, it's just that you all are like family to us and I wanted to let you know.

Tears will be shed, but I know this is the thing that must be done......thanks for letting me ramble.

It's a hard thing to face Steve. You know it's the right thing, but still hard to do. Stand strong, mourn your loss, it's your right.

I'm glad I got to play with ole wilber (hunter) one last time. I understand the feeling my friend. We are getting close as well. I have some fresh cut cherry boards if you would like to make a box for him.

As for the negative comments: In todays world, many of the youth feel that their opinion is needed. All of them are simply fishing for "likes". There are people that spend countless hours feeling the need to type massive dissertations about all the things they hated about something. You are often left to wonder if they have any time left with their day to enjoy something. If I felt the need to post a negative comment everytime I read or watched something I didn't like, I would never have any time for the rest of my day. Unfortunately, because of these youth, many of the older generations are now feeling the same way. The need to add their 2 cents to everything. As if to say "if they can do it, so can I". Sadly, these people are looking for a reaction. They get their kicks not in what they say but the reactions they get from others. This is what they are looking for. Unfortunately, many people have yet to figure this out and will post comments simply adding fuel to the fire. They don't get the fact that "THIS" is what they are looking for.

I am a whitty individual. I can come up with a million different responses to peoples comments that would ultimately gain me "likes". Instead, I chose to deal with it the easy way and shut it down before it starts. You saw how I did that!

My condolances to you and Judy today. Let me know if there is anything you need help with.

Thanks guys, he’s in peace now. Veterinarian said his kidneys were about shot, makes sense why he went downhill so fast.
