    Well,
5:35 was the magic time, that Twelve Doe’s came through, I was practically surrounded.

About that time my phone starts buzzing. I figure it’s Steve telling me he’s eating a proper dinner......... and I look at my phone and It’s Aunt Gretchen, she is in the house, and says, see that one across the river? She’s been eating my flowers, shoot her first.

Bang, rack another round. Bang, rack another round.

And stop and watch the mayhem of deer running in all directions.

Will be eating well if and when I get home.

Had to throw them in the back of the truck. Have yet to field dress as I needed to break some speed laws to make my Daughters Musical where she has 3 Solo’s and is the lead character.

Tomorrow is sleep in and heat the garage, and cut up deer again.......

Trash guys gonna be happy with me......... lol

Pre-seasoned meat is always best. We ended the day with 8 bucks total and 14 deer or so. I think my neighbors hate me!

Did hear a few local shots so I figured a few of my little guys were lost. I can't save them all I guess. I just love to watch them grow. As a young man, I would have shot them all. Now, I can be very selective. I am lucky but it has taken a lot of time, effort, blood, sweat, swearing, and surgical procedures to get my farm to where it is at.

My first two years here I had to harvest over 20 does. If however I was hunting a different area or wasn't able to manage what I have, I probably would have been done by mid October.

Great job Aaron. Too bad you were not closer. Double the meat processing gear and people makes quick work.

    I wish I were closer.

Have them gut, skinned, hung and loin’s & Straps removed.

    Showered, and it’s only 10:50pm.

Now it’s time for some cooking like Steve does, some fresh Loins, & Eggs for my dinner.

By the time I get to bed it will be a roughly 18.5 hour day.

The power naps were definitely not enough........ lol

So while your hunting in the morning, I’m sleeping in, then starting to get the deer cut.
