    Default Crappie spawn

Got out to a lake about an hour north of me tonight
Took my brother with me for a taste of my style of crappie fishing
    Old fashioned floats and minnow
Crappie spawn is in full swing
    Water was 66 degrees
I watched some doing the ritual
    Was a great night
23 fish with most 12-13.5 inches
Was a bit of a finicky bite but when the wind died a bit around 5 the bite picked up
Most fish were in 3 to 6 ft of water

Heard a rumor the gills are starting to bed south of Hastings. I plan on confirming that this weekend.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
