Michigan Spring Crappie Camp

This will be the “Official” flyer and posting location for the Michigan Spring Crappie Camp.

Dates: June 9th and 10th

West Houghton Lake Campground

Houghton Lake, MI 48629

Legend of events:
Liar’s Club
Friday June 8th starting at 6pm
Campfire site to be determined

Liar’s club is a time when we reacquaint with old friends and meet new ones. You will only be new to the group for a few minutes (long enough to ride the initiation goat). Bring your camp chair, your favorite beverage, and your favorite dip or snack recipe to share.

Fishing tournament
Saturday June 9th from first safe light until 2pm

Luncheon:
Saturday June 9th starting at 3pm
Location will be the West Houghton Lake Campground Pavilion

This is a “bring a dish to pass” event. Dishes could include but are not limited to: potato salad, Taco Salad, Oriental salad, hush puppies, snacks, dips, chips, crackers, and deserts.

The following things outside of the above will be needed for this event:
Garbage bags
Paper towels
Aluminum trays for fillets
Fillet Fryers
Crappie Fillets
Disposable utensils
Disposable plates
Fry Oil

Please list the number of people in your group that plan to attend along with what you would like to bring to the event. If you are not 100% sure, simply put: Salad, snacks, or other. If you would like to supply some of the above items, please list them in your post so that others know we have it covered.

I'll bring a fish cooker and oil
plastic eating utensils and paper/foam plates. I can also bring foil pans and a roll of paper towel.
probably a gallon of crappie fillets- these will be part of Jeffs, too. He caught a few of them.
venison summer sausage, cheese and crackers for liars club
fish coating if it's needed. I have a gallon container of Slap yo' mamma and a gallon of Louisiana brand.

Also, the reason for knowing how many children is that MICDC has some special gifts to give them and we want to ensure we have enough on hand!

AHHHHHH, TACO.... Is there anything else? I'm sure she makes a mean Oriental salad, but I've had the taco salad.... TWICE!
