First fish of 2020-and it's a good one
Jeff and I fished a Barry County canal today hoping for some early season crappie. None were to be found but I did catch my first 2020 fish, a master angler bass that measured(as near as we could tell) 21 1/2" Didn't have a tape so we used my rod to measure. Only fish we caught. She bit a slider on a jig 18" under a bobber and Jeff nearly fell in the lake making room so I could beach her.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

Yeah, I probably need to keep a tape on my belt. Not just for measuring fish but to keep my 6 foot "social separation". My truck is only 5 feet wide so Jeff has to ride in the back if we go anywhere.
