I do too! You left before I got there. I setup my tent, put my ez up over it with the sides on, put in an electric heater and bought a cot. It snowed!

Had been trying to get a prototype BB Rod to a potential customer, so while everyone else was up @ Houghton, I was driving, and sleeping in the back seat of the truck @ Harbor Town.
Got on the water late by fishing standards, Heck by Steve standards, It was probably nap time... that was 7:45ish.
Due to the morning waves, I intentionally motored down to the River Rasin basin, turned with the wind, and started trolling. NNW
I ran the 2 BB Rods for most of the whole morning, and, the very first fish was a Walleye, that was 28 inches, 1 Dang inch short of a Master Anger. For those that are not aware, the Mi DNR Patch this year is a Walleye.
Anyway, I started with conventional method, released the bail, and let the BB hit bottom, then pause, and do it a second time, and lock the bail. After getting both BB Rods set, I noticed that the tips were steady. No bites, no noting, so I started tinkering, and continued to release line until I could detect the BB ticking off bottom. To my surprise, I had to go from 40 foot, to 57 foot of line, on the counter. (These were not calibrated) but it was enough line, that the difference none the less that surprised me from the conventional method, of locking it at the second bounce.
Please note, that I did not let out 103 foot this time. BUT that worked too, I caught fish...
As soon as that first rod started ticking the rod bent over and drag went out. I was still looking at it, and my initial though was WTF did I snag?, and then the rod started bouncing, FISH ON,
I was treated to that first fish. The nice Mr Walleye, of 28 Inches. So I put the fish away, lowered the other rod to the same depth, and saw the "Tick" I was looking for, and then set task to getting the first rod back in the water. Before I could get it, the second rod went off. It was a Sheep, but that was OK, as I was testing Rods.
That is how the morning went the next 45 minutes until it slowed, rod A, then Rob B, back i water, Rod B, then Rod A, even had a double of sheep, at least 3 times. I added one more walleye, and numerous sheep. I could not keep both rods in the water for very long.
I know people are not interested in Sheep, but I was testing, so it was fine with me. Anything that would pull back for me to test the rods was a bonus. I even got a bonus Catfish. I had one Sheep that was HUGE, and the Rods performed much better than I anticipated.
I tinkered with my planer boards for a bit as well. I had issues, BIG SUPRISE There, OE fishing and issues? Who'd of thunk.
I was using a generic St Croix Avid for my Planer boards, with Smimano Symmetry spinning reels. I did not want to canabalize my Salmon gear for Walleye setup for one day of fishing, so I grabbed some other items sitting around.
I see Kevin, and Rich Laughing now, but it worked, it was UGLY, but I made it work and caught a few fish on those as well. Line out was not the issue, the issue was being Solo, and disconnection the planer board. I lost about 3 fish while disconnecting. I found I had to reel that planer board dang near to the tip of the rod in order to not lose the fish.
By 11:00-ish I had my limit, packed up and called it a day. Met up w/ some people, handed over the prototype rod for further testing.
I placed Daiawa Acudepth on them for the reels, I got the 17 (Smallest size) I like the size for Walleye, however there are some weird things that I am not used to as I am so used to my Depth Master III for Salmon.
The two things that are most prevalent t to me are the clicker button, is at an angle, how I hod the Rods. Not an overly big issue, just annoying to me, second is that the star drag seems to need to be rotated 500 times before drag starts to kick in. The paddle handle to me was not an issue.
Overall, I could get them for all my Walleye gear and be happy, just some getting used to I think, the bonus, was I liked the small size. I am going to have to snag a Depth Master III size 15, to see if I like those better before I get more Accudepth though.
