Thanks for the info guys... the wife said i need a new motor -- she prefered the Evinrude
I am glad to hear that the suzukis are more popular than I thought they were.
and so far nothing negative about them.
I am still a bit concerned about the extra weight on the back of the boat , as I have the 9.9 kicker motor , two live wells and 4 batteries back there already, but one way or another I am sure the Suzuki will do the job.
I am planning on getting rid of one of the batteries, I see no need for four of them.
currently I have a couple of neverstarts and one interstate.
had a few suggestions to go with the sams club Duracell AGM batteries, any prefereces?

I am planning on getting a new outboard for my pontoon, the lake we are on is limited to 20 HP. (Pymatuning) Was/Am considering a Suzuki because of the price and because I can get it shipped direct and don't have to go through a dealer to install it. I'm pretty sure I can do it myself. If It was a bigger motor I would probably have the dealer do it. Nice to hear so many good things about Suzukis. When I told my wife the 4 stroke will be much quieter than my current 1982 Evenrude 2 stroke, she said "go buy it!" Should have listened to her, because since then I had to replace a transmission on one of our vehicles and that put a dent in the "New Suzuki" fund.
