I'm in as a co-angler. Just need to know the schedule to ensure it doesn't conflict with my bass tournaments.

I like the idea of getting together as a group and fishing new lakes. During the summer months I work a lot of weekends and I think I've mentioned my 7 sisters who like to plan family events so I would have a hard time committing to a series but, like vbottom, would like to fish as many as I can.
If I was to register as a captain and couldn't get a team together for an event, I would most likely be fishing the events with Jeff when he could make it, could I fish as a co-angler, lets say in Steve's boat, if my fish counted to his score, not mine?
Or would it be possible to show up for a single event and pay the entry fee for that event but not compete for the team of the year award? I, personally, don't care about winning any money or awards but would like the chance to get together with friends and learn new tactics and new bodies of water. And talk a little trash.

Jerry:
That is a great question.
The answer is.... YES
Any captain that wants to participate for "Team of the Year" will register and pay the $25.00. If someone simply wants to participate in single events (when they have time) they do NOT have to pay the $25.00 fee.
Prior to every event, there will be plenty of lead time for people to post about who will be coming. They will simply post that they are coming, show up to the event, pay the $10.00 per person event fee, and fish that event. They don't have to worry about the points!
Again, my whole goal in this is to get as many people as possible to participate and make it so that people have the "options" to participate if they have time.
Example: If Jerry decides at the beginning that he wants to compete for "Team of the year" he pays the $25.00 fee and goes fishing. As per the rules, two paid captains can not fish together.
If however Jerry simply wants to fish events when time allows, he can show up to an event either as a co angler or with his boat, pay the $10.00 event fee and fish. He can fish with Steve as a co angler and Steve gets the points, or he can bring his own boat, fish with Vbottom, and fish for the cash (no points awarded).

As I read through all this, I might be better off as a “Co Angler” and arrive by the seat of my pants.
My schedule is never fun to adjust, and some times require special alignments of Stars, Moons, and Planets.
Most all my fishing is done by an open opportunity.
Boat is ready, something happens, kids don’t need rides, wife’s getting hair cut, and I’m suddenly free, I take off and go.
Knowing my family, I can safely say I’m a “Co Angler” if my schedule free”s up.
