I have the Engel 85 quart that I use when the warm weather hits. Although I can keep a certain number of fish alive in both of my livewells, I just don't like filtering in 80 degree water from the surface. They tend to die pretty quick. For that, I usually have the cooler in the boat in the summer time. Spring and fall, I put them in the livewell.

When I salmon fished, I had 3 coolers on board. We had a big boat so we could transport that many. I had a 120 quart, a 100 quart and an 85. I have since given away everything but the 85. That it a great cooler with a great top and latch and was our go to cooler most of the time. It is an Igloo. I use my Engel now (because I have it) but I love that Igloo. It has sentimental value!
I have a sentimental value Engel as well, It was forged from creativity, and a Daughter who thought it was creative, and put me up on the same level as Steve, in cooler AWESOME-NESS................

Boat is back together, and everything is functional.

Long story short, there was a female lead that got plugged in by some one (me) but I don’t know who would do such a thing.

Last Saturday my graph would power down when the boat got a good smack from a wave while on Lake Michigan.

It was a loose pigtail on the ground or power.
I crimped both, put them back and saw a loose pigtail.

Well the only place it reached was power or ground BARELY.

So I plugged it in thinking I had unplugged it.

Long story short, it’s a power pigtail for a 3 way switch. Power-Off-Auto. So the pigtail would power the “Auto” as well.

After figuring this all out, I have a new 750GPH livewell pump, and some knowledge of 12 volt wiring.

That pigtail was wrapped with electric tape and tucked out of the way.

The learning experience was not with out a cost though.........

    All the blown fuses......... lol

Must be a rainy maintenance day here.....

Fixed brakes on Kids S10, for college travels. (Momma still likes to see her baby)

Swapped out my Silverado front brake pads, back are still OK.

Put the screen back on the Livewell intake pipe.

Put new screws and adjusted a rod holder.

Now it’s rainy day NAP time ......

I just got home from garage saleing with The Duke. The last time I tried to take him I thought I was going to have to put him in time out he got so pouty. This time he acted like he actually wanted to go. First stop I hit pay dirt, an old Johnson Century reel and an old Shakespeare Spin-Wondereel for 1.00 apiece. They will look great at the Beats-a-Tent. Steve spent a few dollars as well and got some stuff he needed. On the final stop I found a plug in percolator, I've been looking for over a year. It was a good day and I think Steve had fun, too.

Garage sales in Charlotte is like a family reunion of sorts.....seems I knew them or knew someone they know.

Not a fan of garbage.....err, I mean garage sales just because of the amount of “I don’t need someone’s used up” stuff.....but it was fun and I did pick up a couple things Judy liked.

Best part was one of the sales was in a barn my grandfather and my dad built in the 1940’s. I couldn’t help but put my hands on a couple of the hand crafted laminated rafters that grandpa had put his hands on so many years ago......I think I was the big winner today because of it!

OE I seem to use the same learning method as you. Not cheap, but I do learn.

You roll up your sleeves, tell yourself you can do something and jump into the mess and do it too? Or At least try?

& here I thought I was the only one who did that type of diagnostics.

Jerry, I have had several wonder rods over the years. Still have a few. I never knew they made a reel.

I know there is a community one coming up in Leslie. I heard a few people talking. They own farms and have never gotten rid of things.

I've been to Leslie garage sale days before and scored quite well. Let me know when it is and we can drag Steve down there for a full day of garbage sales.

The funny thing about today is he told Judy that I socialize too much at sales that have nothing good for sale. Who do you think did all the rubber jawing today? Hint: it wasn't me.
