So what do they do? Get a local marina with a boat lift to come and pick it up to put on the trailer?

Or a dozen local friendly Yoopers to put it back on.

When mine came off, first thing I did after getting help getting it off I-75 was buy a new winch rope then got some help putting the bow up on the trailer and started winching it on......and I did have help from some motorists getting it back on.
Then put a belly rope around the boat and trailer near the stern.

I've seen the exact same thing and it was just as Steve described. Roller trailer!

I remember my first roller trailer. Got ready at the launch, removed the tie down strap, went to back in to the water at Ludington and felt a jerk. Thank god the I was smart enough to leave the safety chain on! I learned that you cannot unhook that joker until after you are in the water. Which would later be a pain in the butt and force me to completely rethink my life choices! They have their advantages with bigger boats like the 24 footer I was launching but I much prefer to launch the boat from the comfort of my truck seat... Come to think of it, I don't launch from my truck anyway. I sit in the boat and have someone else back it in the water!

My guess is they put a couple slinges under the boat and got a backhoe with front end bucket or a front end loader to put it back on the trailer.... OR, the guy simply hooked a tow strap to it and drug it to the lake. This is the UP afterall!

I am giving him some time to fix it.....I know he is booked out and I’m kinda easy to work with so I gave him 2 weeks to come up with a solution

    Regarding the boat

I see that Genes towing made an appearance but I can’t imagine they would winch it on a roll off wrecker.

Seems to me the easiest fix would be detour traffic then have roller trailer unhooked from vehicle so the back rollers could get under the bow and start winching the trailer under the boat. When it’s all the way under hook trailer up and drive them to a dealer to assess if there is any damage.

Did I ever tell you the story of Captain Sinkie and the roller trailer? I'll have to some day.

    I have a roller trailer.

HOWEVER, in my preparations to appear Polish, I make sure I’m safe.

My boat never gets unhooked from the strap, or the safety chain unless it’s fat butt is in the water.

I would do the same with a bunk trailer, for no other reason than, I would be that guy who had his boat slide off the bunks somehow.

I did see a sweet deal to launch & retrieve solo, but not sure it could be done in Michigan, unless I want to power load
