In the little town I grew up in the UP, there was this old short French Canadian man named Jacque LaCost.
He had a couple greetings he’d say when he saw you in the morning.
“‘‘Tis a beautiful day this morning, I’m glad I didn’t die during the night or Ida missed it”

Old boy was running a still back in the thirties (in the UP) and was about to get caught by the gewberment, he took off running through the woods, got home and the next day got a job as a deckhand on the Great Lakes, never went back for his still.

Didn't remember about the bobber stop thing or I would have called you. Oh well, I needed some more jigs anyway.
