Rich, I lift my fish trap into the rafters with an old boat winch. I spooled it with 3/8 rope, ran the rope through a series of pulleys and tied a snap connector on the rope. I made a sling out of two shorter pieces of rope that loop under the rim of the shanty and clip into the snap connector. Once it's in the rafters I leave it suspended by the rope to make it harder for mice to colonize it. Used to do it your way but came to my senses.

Jerry, I have an 1100lb electric winch. Unfortunately, where I keep the shanty is on the other side of the truss support.

This will be the last time it is put there. I have a perfect spot directly behind my winch! I hurt to much to attempt it on Saturday and Sunday. Very little sleep last night. Without a disc between L5 and S1, it is like the entire weight of your body is pushing down on it. It sucks

That's what I did yesterday too, spooled two new reels that I picked up at the fishing show and stripped off some line on the other 8 and added fresh line, got em all calibrated. I also converted my old boards tattle flag system to the mounting position of the new style, now they should ride the same

    Skillet,

I did that too, I don't have an ATV to strip the spools like Rich, but I do have a drill. I hooked up a bit, got it wrapped, and then pulled the trigger, and stripped the reels.

Stripped 4 of my Salmon line counter reels, that I will double up as my Walleye line counting reels as well. One was 1/2 stripped, and then used that fresh line to spool up

Then measured out 150 Yards in the back yard, added 150 Yards of Mono for my backing, and my game changing line is on order, and will be spooled up. This line is so awesome, fish will want to jump in my boat.

I was going to use an old spool on a drill rig. The problem was that I couldn't find an old spool!

I still have 8 or so more reels to do but I couldn't stand on concrete yesterday. It hurt my back too much.

If anyone is interested, I have a full spool of Power Pro Braid I will gift to them. I purchased it a few years ago. Originally, I spooled up a couple of trolling rods as a test. I HATED using it so I discontinued it. The reason is that you need to twist the line several times before you hook it in to an OR16 or OR19 clip. It still slides a little bit which cuts the pins and the pads on your boards.

I'm pretty sure it is 15lb braid. Free to a good home! Green in color

Ginger Beer Ad, (Which I thought was creative) was pulled for portraying redheads as Villians.........

Goat Herder's, and Becky Detection & Avoidance, maybe, but Villian's? lol.............

I see nothing wrong with the ad. Very creative and I found it funny. I do, however, think the beers name is all wrong. It should be Rusty Yak Gingery Pale Ale. Everybody knows gingers are as pale as it gets.

You don't see me getting upset over all those out there who are hunting, chasing and trying to capture or kill Sasquatch, do you?

Misunderstanding, I found it humorous, enough so I contemplated moving to Australia to be a Giant among-st "Normal" people....... lol
