My day started at 3:30 am. My nephew in law is in the army reserves and is going o Mississippi for three weeks of training and needed a ride to the Grand Rapids airport. Got to his house at 3:55, five minutes early, and he's scrambling around the house in a panic. He can't find his wallet or his documentation of his orders. He searched the house and the cars without finding it. He thought it might have been left at work in Grand Ledge so we load up his gear and head in the opposite direction that we need to go. As we're pulling into the parking lot his wife calls and said the oldest daughter, age 4, told her she had thrown it in the trash, which turned out to be true. The orders weren't there so he had to go inside and print them off again. Then it was back to his house to get his wallet. Once I got on the interstate it started snowing and the farther west I went, the heavier the snow got. 60 mph all the way to GR and back. The good news is I got him there in time to make his flight, got home without some knuckiehead speed demon putting me in the ditch and, after a short nap, the coffee tastes awfully good this morning. Now it's off to finish some drywall.
