wow, I get the first post this morning!
bagged three bunnies last night, figured that would be plenty for the wife and I.
hoping for a sunday dinner.
saw a crazy thing , coyotes killed a fox, had to have been the night before, was no snow in the tracks and the blood was fresh.
I thought it was odd that they killed it, but did not eat any of it.
saw at least a dozen bunnies and um missed maybe 5 or 6 to get my three , guess that is why the coyotes were there.

The bracket runs about 13 bucks. The transducer (83hz/200hz) is usually between 75 and 100 bucks. You can get them from the CDC sponsor bbgmarine dot com
This unit, brand new retailed for around $1400 bucks when they first came out (including tansducer and bracket). After the Gen 2 touch came out, this unit dropped in price to around $950. Towards the end, when the Gen 3 touch came out, this unit dropped in price to around $700 bucks.
We own
1) HDS5 Gen 2
3) HDS 7 Gen 2
1) HDS 8 Gen 2
1) HDS 10 Gen 2
1) HDS 9 Gen 3 touch
To say we like the units would be an understatement. I considered purchasing this unit and NOT telling you!!!! I have a 10 mounted at the helm and a 7 that I run up front when jigging. I have it wired and run the same 7 in the back of the boat when trolling. Considered purchasing this one and leaving one in the front and one in the back at all times. All my units are networked, have their own power, and ram mounts.
The only reason I didn't is because I use it in the back about 75% of the time. Having it up front all the time would leave it prone to bouncing around more than I would like.

Holy CRAP, Rich.
Are they shielded so you don’t get Daim Bramage?
I saw a glow out on the horizon, as the sun was not due to rise for another hour.
As it got closer I could see the graph on the boat, and the glow of his head.........

Making some progress on the boat. We have as many of the plywood panels off as was practical and all the carpet has been removed. I corrected a couple of design issues that I wasn't happy with. I bought some led lighting for the interior and have those mostly installed with just the electrical hook ups to do. Got the new hatch covers delivered today and they are sweet. Started cutting new holes in some of the panels where the new storage will be and got one one panel carpeted before I had to head for my chair to watch the Spartans. I'll get some pictures posted this weekend.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
