I'll be heading out of Sterling State park tomorrow for trolling if anyone wants to tag along.

I have a group of guys that hire me every year to take them trolling. Tomorrow is the day. I gotta take dad out to test the TURD (A.K.A his Ulterra) today. If all goes well, Brian and he will be in his boat tomorrow.

As stated before, I have zero plans to jig!

I've had two knee scopes. The first in 1993. The second sometime in 2007. They came a long way between the two. They did way more work the first time and it was a ton more painful. Including the spinal block. The second one I was walking on in two days. Actually shot a couple deer about 4 days later.

Judy is always coming up with ways to get Steve out fishing. Somehow it seems my name always comes up in that mix.
Walked about 10 minutes on it yesterday
    BIG mistake
Can barely walk now , swollen and very sore
    Good thing for great drugs
Watching fishing and hunting shows today
Need to be able to get back to work Monday
Good luck to all you guys fishing today and this weekend

    John,
Neoprene braces worked for me. Just until you get stable, then take them off before you become dependent. Early on I used slip ons. After I got older, the velcro on ones were better and had more support. Compression is the main thing.

Dad swears by Copper fit. Says it actually works. You can get them at Wal-Mart.

Good day on the Detroit. Got on the water about 8 am, they let maybe 10 more boats in behind us and the launch was full. Fished east side of Grosse Isle and got 3 fish, missed a couple more. Headed up river and set up between Mud Island and the spark plug. Dropped down a 3/4 oz orange jig with dark red worm and BAM, fish on. Dropped down again and BAM, another fish on. We made 5 drifts in this spot and were up to 13 fish. We moved to the golf course and finished our 15 fish limit by 12:30 then played catch and release. We caught about 25 walleye today between the three of us, all in the 15 1/2-18 range, good eaters. The river is absolutely crammed full of walleye right now, and fishermen as well. The Berkley performed flawlessly today. I'm pretty sure I felt a fish think about biting, now that's sensitive.

Good report, deserves its own thread!

Boat is hooked up, fueled up and ready to roll to Muskegon Lake in the Morning for Perch.

Sparty, myself and Chumlee66 will give it a go, called Skillet to see if he can go......waiting to hear back.

This should be a nice day on the water!

Coffee is made and in the thermos, rods and tackle ready to go. I hope we can find a few perch today. Days like we're having this weekend are our reward for putting up with the weather we've had for the past month.

I talked to Jeff last night, they're headed home this morning. Have a safe trip.

Just waiting on Chumlee66, it’s still early, then headed for the Portland park and Ride.
Looked on the snug harbor bait shop page last night and they said there were guys out perch fishing so I’d bet we’ll have some company.

Sandwiches and snacks packed just need a stop for bait and we’re good!
Kevin had other plans so he can’t join us, bet he takes his boat where he’s going though.
To all you going fishing this weekend.....good luck!

To John.....rest and heal buddy, you’ll be on the water soon!
