One thing you will never have to worry about with me is that I don't mind giving up any information or hot spots on lakes that I have fished. Sometimes it is 15 years or more before I go back to some of them!

This first picture is up on the very North end of the Basin. The red lines indicate a trolling pattern I used and was very successful on walleyes (and some giant pike). If memory serves me, we used two different tactics in tandum. We trolled floating F9 and F11 rapalas in orange and gold, black and gold, and black and silver patterns. Simply cast them out the back of the boat on both sides and set them in the rod holder. Each of us also used rods we held on to and trolled night crawler harnesses and walking sinkers.

This next area is south and west of the above. I've caught a lot of pike in this cove. Several different casting spoons.

This last area is a series of Islands north of the State Rustic Campground. Did well in this area trolling the same patterns as above. Concentrate around all the islands. Shallow early and move out deeper as the sun comes up.Name: Islands.jpg

South of the campground is areas with submerged tree structure. Find these and you will more than likely find the crappies and blue gills. The boat launch area is also another decent spot for a mixed bag of fish. We caught many of them just sitting in lawn chairs in the evening shooting the breeze.

Red, everybody on this site along with many on the TN, MS and AR sites know I'm something of a Bs'er. No foul my friend.

Sorry Jerry. I may be the MICDC mod, and a BS'er, but I am NOT in charge of event entertainment...I think that's Steve's dept.
