I'll weigh in one more time, as if the waters aren't already muddy enough. There's a campground on Wixom Lake that looked interesting, down side is the cabins are 105.00 a night. Second thought is Sessions Lake near Ionia. Down side is the campground is not on the water. Up side is it's a no wake lake, there are two cabins on the water near the public beach that could act as a gathering area for festivities and the fishing is pretty good for crappie and gills.
We did hold one camp at Sessions in the spring I think. Mosquitos were bad that year, but it was a good camp.

Of course houghton or Wixom would be my personal choices but I did like sessions a few years ago. I have just started a new job with flexible hours and actually pays good so no matter what lake is chosen I plan on attending. Of course with my luck there is no guarantee.
It would be great to have you in our company again Frank! Hope it works out.
I lived pretty close to Coldwater lake. Caught a few nice Walleye's through the ice, did good trolling at night after season opened. Don't know much about the camp.
