If you pull a trailer you will eventually find yourself in the situation we did recently while going to Louisiana. Middle of the night and no trailer lights. An easy solution is to carry a pair of red, battery operated, LED lights that go on the back of bicycles and a few zip ties. Turn on the lights, zip tie them to the rear of the trailer and away you go. This should get you by till you can fix the problem properly.

OK, here's another one. I stumbled on this one by accident. This time of year I get those small brown ants on my counter tops. Usually I put out ant motels and spray with ant killer but hate spraying that stuff where I prepare my meals. About a week ago I saw my annual visitors were back and when I reached for the ant spray, I was out. The only thing I had as a bottle of super concentrated Deep Woods Off in a small pump type bottle. I figured what could it hurt so I sprayed some of the Off where the ants usually come in, around my kitchen window casing, and I haven't had another ant in the house since. Does it work or doesn't it? The jury's still out but I think it does. Off is also good for when you get tar or construction adhesive on yourself. Melts the tar or glue away and the smell washes off better than gas smell.

A good one from my Marine Corps days

Camo face paint was always a bear to take off. At one point in time, I had worn it for so many days in a row, I thought my skin would never come back to normal. I ended up coming across something that takes the stuff off with very minimal scrubbing.... Barbisol shaving cream! It also works well to get grease and grim off from your hands.

I can't take credit for this, I read it on a Lowrance FB feed:

To get rid of those fingerprint smudges on your electronics screen safely, get a small spray bottle and mix 50% rubbing alchohol and 50% water. Spray on your screen and wipe away with a micro fiber cloth.
