1648 Alumacraft Livewell mockup for fabrication. Installing it in the center seat. Will post final video including plumbing when it's done.

I got an aluminum tracker that has some rivets leaking. What is the best stuff to put over them to help stop the leaks?

Replace with new blind rivets and use 5200 sealant. Or just use the 5200 I’d replace them

    Hi
My aluminum 17ft boat would benefit from a higher ransom. Ive had water come over the back a few times .
Any suggestions on how to do it?

    Thanks

A few weeks ago we were at the Gravois Mills, MO Lake of the Ozarks boat launch and a nail got the rub rail on our boat. I am not sure why, but the rub rail on our Lund is not rubber, it is aluminum. The nail dug in pretty good and I didn't want to leave it that way. I approached a couple body shops and as soon as I said aluminum boat they didn't want anything to do with it. I had contact with Lutz's Automotive in Jefferson City, MO through work. I called Dan and he told me to bring it down. I did some leg work for him as far as the paint code and the type of paint Lund uses. We dropped it off on a Saturday and he called us on the following Thursday letting us know it was done. Dan (Lutz) did an AMAZING job on it. No more scratch and the paint is beautiful! I am not sure if he does fiberglass and gel coat or not. You would need to ask him. If you have work that needs to be done on your Aluminum boat talk to Dan at Auto body, Collision Repair and Classic Car Restoration - Lutz's Garage: Auto Collision & Repair

Any easy way to tell if the transom has rotted? Drilling? Hammer thumps?
