I'm thinking of engineering some kind of strap with carabiners to go from each side of the boat to hold the motor in place, or around the stick. The boat is in the shop getting a new steering cable. I just bought the boat, a 2018 and the motor only has six hours on it. You could put it on the show room floor and sell it like a brand new outfit. It looks that good. I put it in the water and everything was great except it would not turn. The steering was not totally locked up but you had to use everything you have to move the stick to get it to turn. It was easier in one direction and that was the side the motor lays over to when trailering.

That’s pretty much where I’m at. I’ve seen the clips but my motor I could only use one clip making it useless ha! I’ll take a picture of mine when I get home later. Mine is hydraulic but might help come up with ideas for youOriginally Posted by SandySkiff

A nice thing about a bungee to keep the motor in place besides being inexpensive is that you can also keep the motor straight while trolling.

I'd use the thumb screw type clamps so it's tool-less.

Tighten the steering if tiller, or go to safey steering if console. Safety steering (possibly safe-t?) wont allow the motor to move unless you turn the wheel.
The bungee cord on that V shaped motor toter wont stop a 200lb motor from tilting.
