    Default Boat trailer ?

I finally did away with my 1442 jon boat and replaced it with a 1448. I`m not sure I have an issue but wanted to ask members of the forum with more experience than myself..

Loaded onto my old trailer with the old boat I had maybe 4 inches of space between the side wall of the boat and the outer bunks on each side. I used a boat buckle strapped over the boat from each side of the boat to use during transportation from home to the lake.

My issue with the 1448 is that the boat fits between the side bunks but being larger it fits VERY snug. So snug that I have to use a decent amount of power to push it off at the ramp. It loads fine but again, it`s snug on the trailer. I inspected my side bunks and they are fully extended to their widest point. Also bought a spray that supposedly lubricates the bunks for smoother loading but didn`t find much difference.

Do I have any options or should I leave well enough alone? Again, it fits but just barely.

    Thanks for all replies!

There is a product out there called E-Z slide that may help. Maybe a weld shop can make a mod for you to make it easier. Pics surely would help with advice. Cheers…..

If I understand correctly I believe some type of modification is needed to make loading and unloading easier
