    Awesome motors . Had a 40 on a 1648 war eagle and it was a champ . About 800.00 less than Yamaha or Mercury when I bought mine .

    There are 2 areas down here in south west Louisiana that have motor size restriction. One is 25 hp the other is 40 hp. I had a 40 tohatsu on my small boat. Ran awesome. The majority of the 25 and 40's in this area are tohatsu's. Great motor, but no longer cheap. haha

    Yes, it's Japanese. It's the mainstay of the Japanese fishing fleet.
