    Default YAMAHA 30HP TILLER TOO LOOSE


    That bar under the tiller handel used for making the motor not flop around wont tighten nothing i had 2 wrench in there but didnt do anything to help.

    Maybe Take it apart and put a washer or 2 in there to take up the slack ?

    Go to iboats.net. Look up your motor and pull up the parts diagram for that area of the motor. Should give you a break down of all the parts. What I would be looking for are their any nylon washers/spacers on it. I have worked on a couple of merc’s that had nylon/plastic washers and bushings in them that will crack and break away over time.
