    Default Tow vehicle

I considering converting my wife's mail van into a tow vehicle. Reason being to use the cargo section as a sleeper. The vehicle is a 2010 Chevrolet Uplander 3.9 V6. I can buy a receiver and attach it to the vehicle. It rates the tongue weight capacity at 300#. The boat is an 18x54 open plan stick steer with a 75hp Optimax. What am I getting myself into. Is this doable?

As long as it is below the gross vehicle weight it should be fine

Check these specs as well. Open up the “dimensions” tab. Says it can tow 1588 kg which is approximately 3500 lbs. 1 kg = 2.20 lbs. You can check your tongue weight at home with a bathroom scale and some ingenuity.
