I have a 2015 Mercury 60 EFI 4 stroke. I has not missed a beat. See lots of them on the water.

Suzuki, great motors and sometimes you can gind them alittle cheaper than the yamaha and mercurys. Most commerical fishermen around our parts use the suzuki andcswear by them being the best.

I have the Mercury in a 150 and maintenance is a breeze. I can’t speak to Yamaha, but past motors have been great for me. The most important thing IMHO is to buy whatever has a good service team behind it that is convenient for you to get to if needed. Both are excellent motors and I have heard very good things about Suzuki as well, like blueball had mentioned. If you have a good dealer/service shop that you trust, I don’t think you can go wrong however you decide.
