    Default 95 Mariner 40hp

I’ve got leaking lower unit and it’s the shaft bearing and seal. Anyone know if this is the same as the Mercury?

Mine ELPTO with twin carb/4 cylinder. It’s on a Bass Tracker. Cowl say Tracker Mariner by Mercury. I’ve built carbs for it and it was the same as the Mercury.

With it saying by Mercury I would say it was a Mercury outboard. What year is it??? I know when Mariner first came to the US, Mercury had a deal with Mariner they would be marketed under the Mercury Label for 10 yrs. This was later turned over by a court. So mercury should still sell parts for them.

Does it have a serial number decal on it? If so, you can determine exactly what it is and even order the CORRECT parts from that number.
If it does, take a pic and post here. These Crappie.com guys are usually spot on and will help!

It does. I have a pic somewhere I’ll go dig through to find but here’s where I wrote it down. (Ignore the bottom numbers. That was a code for looking it up on a website. I’ve ordered carb parts from Mercury marine.com before)

And A/N = S/N. Fat fingers with little feeling in them from years of work.

Part numbers are the same between a 40hp Merc 4 cylinder and the Mariner. Quicksilver part is NLA but the Sierra is available.

All diagrams are available at marineengine.com
