Yeah, I love my Bluetooth Terrova and it's new features too, but not everyone has an extra $2500 to use on one if they can get by with what they have already by making some low cost/no cost modifications.

    Just my $.02

There is a way in the remote to turn off the touch screen but dang near impossible to turn it back on.
I wish someone would make a cover that flipped over it.

I wouldn't get another link for 2 reasons. I don't use HB graphs, but more importantly, when I had one, the link was of very little use. The navigation features etc. were not helpful on impounded waters. You have to drive everything to record ahead of time... welp that's a waste of time.
The non-link remote is way better and you save some dough.

Actually, I kinda miss my Terova. Auto deploy is neat when it works...

And for GPS, get and use the hockey puck. Place it at the far end of the boat. Like someone else mentioned, GPS is only accurate to about 10ft. The second GPS (early pucks were only compass') does wonders for heading and sticking to the spot. Everyone's boat is at least 10ft long. Be sure to put a power switch on it.
The GPS in spotlock motors is in the head of the trolling motor. There isn’t an option for a remote GPS, and it wouldn’t be much good if there was. The external puck that comes with MK motors is a Bluetooth heading sensor with no GPS function.

Over a day’s time accuracy wanders, but in the time spent fishing a spot, GPS accuracy under an open sky is about +/-2ft

It’s easy to turn down screen sensitivity on the touch screen remote to avoid accidental input.

Your right! Just a compass in the puck. It’s the jog and boat position that benefits… nice catch.

But screen sensitivity?? Blow my mind!! Can’t wait to find that setting.
