There will always be something new coming out. There will have to be advances in battery technology with this push towards electrification of the auto industry. Take cell phones for instance. The newest one the wife and I got is lighter, thinner and runs 3 times as long as the previous one did. Pretty impressive
Battery tech improved as did the phone efficiency to get to that point

    It is amazing the innovation.
From lead acid, AGM, lion… and remember battery chargers used to weight 40 lbs.

They looked like welding machines. Some had enough capacity to jump start a car with a dead battery. Seen dad use one to crank a engine on the test stand to set the valves

Kinda funny, I have a newer roll around Schumaker charger, has a boost function that will provide 200 amps. One day it quit and I took it all apart. Wire came off the transformer.

The only things inside that big charger are a transformer about the size of a softball, and a digital board about the size of a post card. 90% empty space.

This one was of 60's vintage. It weighed a ton. It has been gone for many a year. Dad still has the Montgomery Ward buzz box welder. It is probably 55 year old now

I was going to post something very similar this morning before church but didn't have time. The new roll around chargers are all cabinet and air.

I bought a roll around one 16 years ago....it is heavy.....still working great. It will jump start a diesel tractor easily.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
