    Default 1983 ranger 330v

I bought this old boat a few weeks ago. its in great shape for its age had a couple of wiring issues that turned out to be an easy fix. there's one problem i don't know if i should tackle myself or take to a mechanic. the idle throttle is broke when you lift it there is no resistance some part of the cable is broke. ive been told its probably just the pin that attaches the cable to the throttle but im also told you can get into a hornets nest when when you take the throttle assembly cover off. any advice is appreciated.

That's a tough one. I personally would give it a try. In doing so I would know I may have to carry it somewhere to let them fix it. You tube has always been a good resource for me over the years. At least you would get to see on video what the workings look like

I found a couple of good videos it doesn’t look like a nightmare job but it could turn into something time consuming

Probably easy to repair if not having to change cable out,,,even if you do,,,not too bad if you think it through,,,
