    Default Can you mount a 9.9 kicker on a minn kota talon mount?


    I want to add a kicker motor to my boat for slow speed trolling (outboard is a 250hp that I don't want idling for hours and it idles at over 3 mph) but I hate the idea of drilling holes in the hull for the mount. Will a minn kota talon mount (bolts to the jackplate) be strong enough to support the weight of a Merc 9.9 4S kicker?

    Thoughts?
