Thanks. The boat did come with fuel/water seperator filter thingie.

I read alot about engines while boat shopping and this one was compared to a 150 in gas consumption. They said equipping the boat with a 150 would not also mean you burn more fuel than with the 115. The 150 can operate at a lower rpm to achieve a certain speed, and the 115 would have to run at a higher rpm to equal that speed. There was a small window there where the 150 outperformed the 115 in mpg. However, it was acknowledged that the 150 was probably going to be run at the higher rpms anyways.
Maybe they will bite this one……

The 150 hp would definitely not be working as hard as the 115hp to achieve the same speed

If anyone wants to trade a good SHO 150 for a good 115 SHO, I’m game. I love my motor but the boat is rated for a 150 and I’d love to have one someday. I still can run 41 mph in a 20’ bay boat with a 115.

My 20’ bay does an almost 50. I mean it will if everything is correct. Must be different hull designs. Mine is Mod V.

That's all these lakes. Maybe trade it in on one ot those top fuel picklefork drag boats. Spring for the live radar where you can keep it skint back at night. Only place those bass guys run slow at is on the road. Then they are going 30 mph under the speed limit.

While looking a pontoon boats I saw an add for a wake boat. It will pump on 4000 pounds of ballast water in 4 minutes, has a wake shaper as well. With those 2 attachments you don't have to be faster than they are. You just have to get out in front. . With all the wake boats up here lately I may need to consider a 25' center console Gulf boat with triple outboards. It would have to feel at home with all the waves
