    Default need a bigger boat

i currently have a 14 ft smokercraft Big Fisherman vee hull. it's fine for fishing 2 people but 3 hmm not the best. so now that my son wants to fish more with my wife and I, i am now looking for a 16ft mod vee jon style boat. no console, tiller is fine, but looking for the best layout and most room, something with a flat floor and at least a 48 inch bottom and a wider beam. any suggestions, i did find a older 16ft bass tracker and was thinking of redoing the interior and removing the steering console, but getting too lazy these days to tackle a project like that.

I have come to the conclusion that if you really like all fishing....you need to have 3 boats. I did have 3 but I sold one, I should have kept it.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I'd like a 2nd boat, pontoon. toon mostly for taking the grandkids swimming. We spend a lot of time in the lake during the summer months. When we can't get to the lake, we swim in the pool.
As for the primary fishing machine and original post. Find a boat that you can grow into. Getting one that meets your needs today, maybe too small in a couple years when the youngun gets bigger.
I prefer Deep V boats, so I don't have much input on brands in the mod v range, or flat bottom range.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!

I had 3, plus a friend's small jon boat sits in my yard most of the time.Sold the pontoon this summer. Hate going by myself, loading un loading and the toon wasn't the fishing boat I thought it would be. Brought my15 ft jon boat home to replace Transom and some other putter jobs on it so I can sell/swap it. Has a nice 15hp on it with a foot operated trolling motor up but I am getting too old and unsteady to be walking back/forth in it. I want to swap or sell my 25 hp tiller steer on my 17 ft alum boat. Like to get 35 to 50 hp tiller, elctric strart and TILT/Trim put on it. Ripped the windshield/sterring and front seats out years ago and it is just perfect for 2 old guys to fish in with any kind of weather.
