3 ft swells and I am off the water. My little PT 175 wouldn’t handle it very well and neither would my wife or I. Live to fight another day, just in calmer waters..

3 footers in a center console bay boat. Just a nice relaxing ride. 3 footers in my 175 Tracker no thanks. It would be some kind of nasty out to see that kind of water in the lake I fish now

Do most repairs ourselves, only use one at a time so gas not an issue but you are correct tires, registration, insurance and taxes are a drain.

From a pure economic standpoint it would be much cheaper to buy fish when one wished to eat it. It sure is enjoyable to jump in the boat and go catch some fish and spend some time on the water

My boat handles waves nicely,,,it’s the loading and unloading by myself when waves are overflowing the back of your 20’ glass boat that freaks me out…

My worst day on Salt water was in the Bering Sea. 25' swells on a 50' tug boat. I watched a 3" diameter rope wash of the back deck. Swept it out to sea in no time. I was stationed on Adak Alaska.

10 to 15 foot swells on a crew boat in the Gulf was more than I wanted. Couldn't even imagine those seas in a tug boat

Thought I had replied to this earlier, Hard to control in any Wind, never have enough anchor, with the top up very hard to cast, did not like where the seats were so always used folding chairs. Should have put a kicker motor on it and also should have had a lot bigger electric trolling motor with longer shaft.
