They would be unstoppable. They would figure out how to pull out the string.

Seems they sting and kill many spiders including the black widow. Starlings and blackbirds are 2 species that eat dirt daubers.
All I can say is plug it before THEY DO...and dont forget to UNPLUG
Update. Took the ole Kenner for a ride last week and the stream was strong! No condo this time. Weed eater line really does work.

A friend took a small piece of hardwood and carved a plug that was just a bit longer than needed. Drilled the excess and threaded a piece of string through it and tied it off nearby. Plugs it and forgets about it. When it blows out it stays tethered and isn’t super tight so it blows out easy.
