Default Lund Sportrax rigging question for Spider Rigging

Hello All. Finally took the plunge and bought a boat. First one I ever owned actually besides a canoe. Large learning curve. Found this pic on a 2 year old thread on a boat for sale. Great boat by the way. The original poster does not seem to be online any longer. So armed with this picture, any ideas on how each side of the wood bracket up front would attach to the sportrax? It is removeable based on his other pictures.

Any ideas appreciated. Must drop troller and insert this into the sportrax system somehow. Thank you and be prepared for more newbie boat questions.

Does the boat have a track that is can be hooked into? If not it is fairly easy to make it clamp on

Having to deploy and retract my trolling motor was one of the reasons I went with Hi-Tek rod holders. I just had to mount the floor plate back a little, and with the Hi-Tek holders not protruding much past the t-bar, all I have to do is swivel the t-bar just a bit and the TM will slip right past it. Most of the other brands of rod holders have V's or U's well out from the t-bar, which in some cases means having to remove that holder before retracting the TM. Some brands even made it so that the t-bar/main post can be folded down, probably because of that.

I can't really see how the holders are mounted, but it kinda looks like they're bolted from underneath at the bow. As it's set up now, the fastest/easiest way to retract/deploy the TM would be to turn all the individual holders parallel to the t-bar as much as possible ... but that would mean you'd have to reset them all each time. And there still may not be enough room for the TM to get past them without rubbing against them or hanging up on them.

The picture makes it look like there's a bit of a reach to get to the rods ... perhaps moving the board/holders back towards the seats (on a longer mounting board) would kill two birds with one stone -- getting the rods closer and maybe making more room for the TM to retract/deploy without having to move the holders. Since there's no foot control pedal to deal with, moving the board back closer to the seats wouldn't compromise anything.

It will have the Lund Sportrax system. Clamp on would be possible.

I'll check out those rod holders. Thank you for that info. And moving it farther back might be nice on several fronts.

Millennium marine has a sliding track system that would be perfect for that setup. I have a prototype of such on my boat. It works well to get it out of the way of the TM. Sure looks like your headed in the right direction.

After reviewing a lot of setups, going to give the Cisco Lund track plate a go with Scotty's 3 pole holder attached to it. Should be quick to takeoff or move as necessary. Thank you to everyone for the feedback.

Something about that set-up makes wanna take a nap. I'd probably wake up run aground in that boat.
