Mine was a glass boat but I just wanted to give what input I had from experience. Both props were 25 pitch. One a cupped laser II and the other a standard quicksilver. The quicksilver ran out ok but was more sensitive to trim and turned just a few more rpm. The laser had a good hole shot, better bow lift and better turning. Like it had a better bite. The quicksilver became the backup prop I never used and I became a believer in turning the edge to add a little more cup, which is what a shop told me had been done to it. Also, mine would throw a big rooster tail and while it’s fun, it can cause problems and didn’t add speed. It actually dropped a few mph. When mine ran best was wot and trimmed to where the rooster tail was no higher than the top of the motor cover. Recommended rpm was 5500 and that’s what it ran, sometimes 200 more in a choppier surface that added more air to the bite of the prop. Mine had a stingray hydrofoil when I bought it and you could feel when it broke the surface by trimming up too high. Hole shot was bad without it. I’ll be quiet now.
