I searched for a duty cycle on that trolling motor and could not find one. Only that they recommended a 50 amp ( good) or 60 amp circuit breaker (best) there words.

Out of curiosity is it possible that you have some fishing line or weeds behind the prop causing the motor to work harder and draw hogher amperage?

    An excellent point there.
I found a "Bird Nest" of mono tightly wound behind my trolling motor prop a while back, no issues, I was just looking one day. I was really surprised. Now at least once a year I check behind my Mercury prop and the trolling prop.
Glad you posted again about your lithium/trolling issue. I guess you can run it safely at 80% and all's well. Consider it like a speed limit, and you don't need a speeding ticket!

I have taken the prop off and inspected all aspects. No fishing line or other obstructions.

Well your looking.....You might want to take the top cap off the top of your trolling motor shaft and check the crimp connectors were the outside wires meet the motor wires....My Xi5 wires melted together under the cap and fried the circuit board 2 weeks ago.
