    Excellent observation.
My 1992 Astro 17' Bass Boat is a heavy, fiberglass boat that rides like a Cadillac on the water. Windy, choppy days are not a problem cruising down the river, and when trolling it's not such a battle. When I ride with others in their light aluminum boats, the wind and water seem to just beat me to death sometimes, not to mention the noise. (BAM BAM BAM)
There are pros and cons to each, but your observation comes thru loud and clear to me, too.

Ok, well I'm sorry to say Xpress are no longer in the finals, I have a good friend who is a pro cat guy, he's on the water every weekend and urged me to stay away from Xpress and another Tracker, but also gave thumbs up to G3 and Seaark. This is going to be my retirement boat and I'm not in a hurry to make a mistake. My local dealer had G3 Sportsman 1810 pfx with what they call there Millennium package on it for 29k, I liked it but fit and finish looked cheap, plastic hinged seats but then again I would probably replace then with millennium's. So now its between a Sea ark Stealth 190 and the Bc190, although there wasn't a salesman to price them for me, form what I see poking around on the internet the Stealth's are cheaper then the Bc190 I like the storage of the Bc190 but don't like not having a front live well. Im going top have dig deeper into specs, plus if I do drop the hammer it will be a year or so till I take delivery. Thanks for the replies.

No boat is perfect for everyone. A boat that’s great for one person is at the other extreme for someone else. My retirement boat was a Xpress XP180. Since buying I upgraded the steering from cable to hydraulic steering. Big difference in loading boat. I just bought new trolling motor (Ulterra) and a Solix 15 fish finder. It’s getting close to the boat I was wanting to start with but didn’t know it. Again no boat is perfect for everyone, just find one close to what you want and go from there. The electrical systems on most all boats is lacking.

After a long conversation with a local dealer, we were comparing G3's to SeaArk's he mentioned the co-owner has G3 was beaten up so bad it looked like someone towed it down the road without a trailer, but didn't leak a drop, on the other hand he mentioned he has been in most brand of boats and compared to the G3 the SeaArks ride like a glass boat. So I need to decide if they are worth another 5 to 7K.

Oh I totally agree with you, heck Ive never seen a Tracker laid out as well as mine is, but when the day ends its just too small and Im tired of the personality of my 2 stroke engine.
Im trying to do research on the top candidates for my retirement boat, its easy to buy but hard to make money right? I have a list of must haves in a boat, and my wife request a second console, which I dont think I will be able to do in a tin boat. I look at boats and play what if! what if I want to troll, push jigs, single pole, bass fish etc... as a friend said we really need 6 boats, but if I could narrow it down id be happy.

I had a G-3 Eagle 185 that I bought brand new....I never did like it...after 5 years I sold it and bought a a Sea Ark 860XV and I love it...IT is by far the best boat that I have ever owned.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Good info G, its looking like I'm gonna have to save more money, they told me SeaArk is raising there prices 8% this year. Its also hard to find used ones as they say there a boat of a lifetime. Its also hard to decide when no one has them in stock. Obtw before I fished Dale Hollow last month I ordered some Pico jig heads and plastics and am very happy with the quality of the jig heads, there black and chartreuse tubes kept up with the minnow guys too.
