    I agree with Mikie. I think they are steps to help you get back in the boat after taking a dip. I had a no-name 16' Jon that the previous owner had installed tabs like this, and when I asked him I got the step answer. He also said "Don't ask me why I know.".

    If they are really a problem, you could remove them and either install a hydrofoil, or a pair of smart tabs. They all do the same thing.

    Well guys. This doesn’t happen very often. Actually it may be the first time it’s happened on crappie.com.

    We were all wrong. LOL

    I finally heard back from G3 today from their warranty/customer service manager.

    The purpose of the little tabs are for an attachment point for the optional flotation pods. He said cut one off, cut them all off, it wouldn’t effect the ride of the boat at all.

    Fixing to fire up the grinder. LOL
